The Rescue

We don't just
feed people.

A share of every Dog House purchase goes to organisations rescuing dogs from Bali's streets. If you'd like to make an even bigger difference, this is your chance.

Our mission

01

The Dog House Cafe is the cosy, welcoming hub where the mission lives in person. Come for the food and drinks, join an event, meet some of the dogs. Every order supports Bali's street dogs. But you don't have to be here to be part of it. Join The Pack: a community united by one thing, making life better for Bali's street dogs.

02

Pick your cause, give what feels right. We pool donations and distribute them to trusted partners already on the ground doing the work. Your support can fund sterilisation campaigns, vaccination drives, emergency vet care, or food for street and beach dogs.

03

We stay close to the rescue community so donations go where they're needed most. Every contribution comes back to you as a clear receipt showing exactly what it funded.

See where money has gone

At The Dog House, giving back is part of who we are. And we don't just provide money. We provide practical help too.

There is a whole ecosystem of people working every day to give Bali's dogs the food, medical care, rehabilitation, shelter and homes they need. There are also those working to prevent more puppies being born with sterilisation programs. We work with established rescues, independent rescuers, street feeders and people quietly helping dogs every single day.

Here are some of The Dog House's recent missions that our customers helped to fund.

Supporting Street Feeders

Every month, we sponsor a street feeder's food for the entire month in partnership with The Dog Club Seseh. Not every dog living on Bali's streets needs rescuing. Many are happy, loved and free-roaming. But they still need care. Street feeders provide food and help organise sterilisation, vaccinations and medication when needed. Keeping dogs fed and sterilised also reduces rubbish scavenging and conflict with businesses, helping keep both dogs and communities safer.

The Outcome

The Dog Club provides 80kg of their human-grade dog food, and The Dog House provides the rest.

THE RESCUE

Bali Bully Rescue

Sometimes the best way to help a rescue is to take something off their plate. Bali Bully Rescue is Bali's only rescue dedicated exclusively to large-breed dogs. They take on dogs that many other rescues aren't equipped to handle and have helped more than 1,000 big dogs find loving homes. When their washing machine broke, their team was spending hours hand-washing mountains of dog bedding. We wanted to give that time back to them.

The Outcome

We provided a new washing machine and dryer big enough to handle their dog beds too.

A Little Slice of Happiness

Leey Shaong Gex is a mother of three who quietly rescues and rehomes dogs on her own. In 2025, she found happy endings for more than 150 dogs. Like so many independent rescuers, she can't do it without support. We made a donation and, in return, received something incredibly special: an orchid she had cultivated herself. She now offers orchids to regular and larger donors too.

The Outcome

A little piece of happiness to remind you of the happiness you've helped create for a dog.

Adoption Days with Mission Paws'ible

Mission Paws'ible was one of the first charities we partnered with. Their healing centre looks at the whole dog, not just getting them physically healthy, but helping them recover mentally too. Structured routines, enrichment, soothing music, rest and a naturally healing diet all form part of their approach. The goal is to give every dog the best possible chance of a healthy, happy life—and a successful adoption. Since we opened, we've hosted a monthly adoption morning at The Dog House. Their dogs come to the café to meet new people, get some cuddles and, hopefully, meet their future family. We're also proud to be a cash sponsor of their upcoming Play It Forward charity padel tournament.

The Outcome

Because sometimes, finding a home starts with simply getting a dog seen.

THE RESCUE

The Gaia Mission

Every month, we head to Gaia Dog Sanctuary. The ticket to join us? A 20kg bag of dog food to feed hungry tummies. Gaia provides veterinary care, rehabilitation, love and patience to abandoned and neglected dogs. Their goal is always to find a forever home but when that doesn't happen, Gaia becomes their forever home. Today, more than 230 dogs call Gaia home.

The Outcome

And every month, The Dog House adds 100kg of food to the mission.

The Bali Dog

During COVID, The Bali Dog started caring for dogs abandoned when life changed overnight. They thought that once COVID was over, the dogs wouldn't need them anymore. Years later, they're still feeding 60 dogs every single day. And it's about much more than money. It's time. It's commitment. It's giving their hearts to dogs that many people don't even know exist. Recently, some of their dogs were poisoned and others disappeared. Without organisations like The Bali Dog, there would be nobody asking where they went, searching for them or making sure these dogs aren't forgotten.

The Outcome

We sponsor eight of their dogs, covering their food every month.

Helping Dogs Find Home

We first met Hope For Bali Dogs when they came into The Dog House for breakfast. We instantly connected. Our first collaboration helped rehome three puppies Lucy, Indie and Dixie and all three quickly found loving homes. Since then, we've continued working with established rescue centres and independent rescuers to help dogs find their forever families. We also help find emergency foster homes when dogs need somewhere safe to go. Because sometimes, all a dog needs is someone to say: "I'll help you find a home."

The Outcome

Now there's always a puppy at The Dog House looking for a home.

We believe dogs in Bali can have a better life

And we do that by helping the people who are trying.

  • We can provide food.
  • We can provide equipment.
  • We can provide a place to be seen.
  • We can provide sterilisations.
  • We can help find a foster.
  • We can help find a home.

And we'll keep doing whatever we can. 🐾
