Brew
Quiet, thoughtful and a little bit majestic. Brew is gentle with everyone she meets and easy to love from the first hello. Her favourite thing in the world is people, so pull up a chair and she'll happily keep you company over brunch.
Come in for brunch and you'll have company. Rescue puppies hang out at the café Tuesday to Saturday, and our Puppy Nanny can tell you all about fostering and adoption while you eat.
Not every pup is in every day. Got your eye on someone special? Message us on Instagram to check when they'll be here.

These pups are with us at the café. Come in for brunch and meet them in person. Not every pup is in every day, so if you're coming to see one in particular, message us first to check.

Bug was found alone in a busy market with no mum, and with territorial dogs around, her chances weren't good. We posted about her on Instagram and our community delivered. She was with a foster within a few hours. She's sweet, loves a snuggle and lives for belly rubs.

Bio coming soon.

The sweetest boy, who will happily sit in your arms for hours. Davey is still finding his feet around the other dogs, and he grows a little more confident every day. He adores his foster and is ready for a person of his own.
We're not a rescue. We work with reputable Bali rescues to help their puppies find homes. We give the pups a relaxed place to meet people, and we help them with socialisation and the skills they need for home life.
Come in Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 3:30pm. Grab a coffee and order brunch (the bagels are a crowd favourite), give out some cuddles, and chat to our Puppy Nanny.
Fallen for someone? We'll help you work out if you're a good fit for each other.
Each rescue has its own process, usually a form about your home and a meet-up at the café.
Once the rescue gives the go-ahead, your new best friend is coming home.
Not ready to adopt? Ask our Puppy Nanny about fostering. Every visit helps too, because time with people gets the puppies ready for home life.

The night we hung our sign, the rain wouldn't stop. The installers waited, and we waited with them, hour after hour, until the sky finally cleared. At midnight we switched on The Dog House sign for the very first time.
Moments later, a tiny puppy walked out of the dark and up to our door, crying.
No mum. No one following him. Just a soaking little pup who had found the only lit-up door on the street. We scooped him up and set him on the café step, and within minutes he was fast asleep, as if he knew he was finally safe.
We named him Midnight. We searched for anyone missing him, but no one came. We'd been waiting for the right moment to adopt a puppy of our own, and in the end we didn't have to choose. Midnight chose us. We truly believe he rescued himself.
Today you'll find Midnight at the café Tuesday to Saturday. He loves:
Every one of these pups spent time at The Dog House before going home.

Mia was sitting in the middle of the road asking for help. When we went to rescue her, we found Athena too. We posted about them on Instagram and our community came through. Within 24 hours they were with beautiful fosters.
Mia is bold and cheerful, with the most beautiful eyelashes and a great side-eye stare. She was adopted by Andre and Chelsea into a big family of rescue dogs and is so loved. Gentle Athena was adopted by a friend of her foster, who fell in love with her.

Luna and Polly were rescued from life in a cage. Luna's foster parents fell in love with her, but they live in England. When she was adopted they were happy and heartbroken at once. A few weeks later her new family had to return her because of allergies, and her fosters adopted her straight away. She moves to England next year.

Chloe was found at the rubbish dump during a sterilisation day, sick with a blood parasite. She spent a week at the vet before our community came to the rescue with a foster.
When she first came to the café she was so scared, always hiding. Slowly, with time and patience, she became playful and confident. Now she lives with her adoptive mum, who adores her, and a doggy sibling, and she does zoomies round the garden every chance she gets.
Before and after. Look at her now, at home with her person.

Polly was with us so long she became part of the Dog House team. So many people fell in love with her but didn't adopt. Just when we thought she'd stay forever, a family fell for her. She now lives with them and their young son, and the two of them are best friends.

Quiet, sweet and always first in line for a cuddle, we knew Indie was special. One of our customers fell for her just as hard as we did. Now she goes by Chilli, and she's a confident, scooter-riding queen.

Brave, silly and never far from a water bowl. Lucie always loved a splash at the café, so it's no surprise that once she was adopted she fell head over paws for swimming in the pool.

Lulu was living on a rubbish dump until a solo rescuer spotted her and saw she needed treatment. Once she was well again, going back wasn't an option. She moved in with Rob, one of our regular fosters, and it wasn't long before she was snapped up by her forever family.

More of Dixie's story coming soon.

Angie feeds every dog on Berawa beach. She knows them all by name and makes sure they're vaccinated and sterilised. When she found a tiny pup she called Possum teetering near a long drop to the river, she called us, and we went straight down to help.
We got Possum to safety, and we knew she couldn't be a beach dog. Our community stepped up again: she had a foster within 24 hours and was adopted two weeks later. Now she's called Ember, and she spends her days playing with her new sister and yapping about it.

Betty was being advertised for sale as a sacrifice. When a solo rescuer saw the advert, she couldn't let it happen, and she asked us for help. We put the call out to our community, and within 24 hours Betty was in a safe foster home. A week later she had found her forever family. Now she spends her days running around her own garden, safe for good.
